Der erste Schritt zur Einrichtung elektronischer Unterstützung von Archiven, Bibliotheken und Museen im 5. Rahmenprogramm der EU auf europäischer Ebene ist getan: die europaweite elektronische Informations- und Diskussionsliste ist online! Diese europaweite Liste transportiert Informationen, die für Interessenten in ganz Europa gleichermaßen von Interesse sind. Sie wird betrieben von Rosalind Johnson, unserer Projektpartnerin im seit 1. April 2000 neu geschaffenen UK Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries (in dem das frühere Libraries Information Council aufgegangen ist).

Wie Sie sich für die neue europaweite Liste registrieren können, entnehmen Sie bitte der folgenden Meldung. Informationen zum Projekt CULTIVATE finden Sie in deutscher Sprache auf dem EDBI-Server. Es besteht von der Eingangsseite des EDBI-Servers http://www.dbi-berlin.de ein direktes Link zu CULTIVATE.

Inzwischen ist es auch gelungen, die nationale Informations- und Beratungsstruktur für Deutschland unter CULTIVATE zu definieren:

• Das EDBI fungiert als nationaler Knotenpunkt und zugleich als Multiplikator für den Bibliotheksbereich. Ihr Ansprechpartner ist Dr. Klaus Reinhardt reinhardt@dbi-berlin.de

It is continuing the successful and fruitful work done by the National Focal Points under the Telematics for Libraries Programme, and is expanding this to include all memory institutions, namely museums, archives and libraries.
