                   17 - 20 October 1999, Bruges, Belgium

       BUILDING BRIDGES TOWARDS THE NEW MILLENNIUM :
CREATING A NEW AGENDA FOR THE INFORMATION COMMUNITY

The 1999 EUSIDIC Annual Conference in the historic city centre of Bruges
provides a forum for content producers, distributors and users to get
together and discuss the issues and challenges facing the information
community in the year 2000 and beyond.

The event will formally begin on Sunday 17th October with an opportunity
for delegates to explore the city of Bruges, either as a group or individually.
For those arriving on Saturday 16th October there will also be some planned
activities.  

THE CONFERENCE

The Organising Committee (Jo Vandenhende, Martin van Boom, Daphne
Tomlinson, Frank Toolenaar, Paul Blake, Ger Bijster and Dominique Vanpée) 
has scoured the information world looking for speakers with a depth of
knowledge on their specialist subjects and are making the final arrangements
for other participants & experts in their respective fields to attend.
